New Round Robin tournament is now offered at www.gamecolony.com

Gamecolony created a new Round Robin tournament type that has nothing to do with swiss tournament type.
It has its own good-looking table that everyone will recognize instantly.
Round Robin has no rounds per se which will help to speed up the tourney as there is no waiting involved.

Some details about Round Robin:
  1. Everyone plays everyone else and TDs (tournament directors) assign '1' point for a win & '0' for a loss
  2. If players decide to split a game (e.g. for 1st place) for some reason, Round Robin allows TDs to give them each 1/2 point  (same 1/2 point is given for a draw e.g. in chess)
  3. Players abandoning a tourney in mid-tourney get '0' for every non-played game but retain the number of previous points & are still eligible for prizes
  4. Since everyone plays everyone else, there's rarely any need to wait for some other game to complete. Free players who have not yet played, can play each other
  5. there are NO tie-breaks: players getting the same number of points & eligible for prizes split places and prizes. For example, if 3 top players in a tourney get the same number of points, they will all split the 1st place and get 1/3 of the prize fund
Swiss tourneys will be tested by our wonderful TDs  before being released for general use.  Stay tuned!!!!!

  6. Been a loyal player of another multiplayer gin application, even through all of its glitches, poor unfair play until its latest downage of almost two weeks. There are a group of us regulars that have stayed in contact on a daily basis via a voxer application. We all agree that the play is much more realistic on this application, but it is difficult to find each other in a long list of players playing and even more difficult to maintain chat while we are playing. would love to see some sort of the improvement when we could mark who our friends are and easily see if they are online or playing. some of us are already even playing in the tournament in winning money so that makes everyone happy.. do you have any plans in the future for improving the chat
