GameColony.com has released a Backgammon Live App for Android phones and tablets.

Backgammon GC is a active social network built around the game of Backgammon. You play numerous games against live players from around the world in real-time. Your gamecolony login information will allow you to acces the app. Or you can create a new account. Either way, once your screen name is established, you get to a main screen with all the games currently being played. If there is a ‘Play’ button you have the opportunity to join the game and get stuck into a live game of Backgammon. Alternatively, you can dip into a game and watch other users play. Some less experienced players like this feature especially because it is good to see other players in action.

Compete LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gin Rummy Association and GameColony.com are inviting Gin Rummy players to the Holiday Classic Gin Rummy Tournament to be held at the Riviera Casino in Las Vegas on Nov. 15-18 2009. Players from all over the world shall compete in a 4-day event for cash prizes and ranking. Next year, four additional tournaments are planned, including the World Series of Gin Rummy TM, Desert Open & St Louis Open.
